Loading...
This Certificate Offers: a cohort-based, online trans-continental curriculum which empowers participants to cultivate moral, spiritual, and practical power for leadership in the work of climate justice in communities of faith and in collaboration with others. Topics covered include: theology, ethics, and spirituality related to climate justice; climate change knowledge; and social change practices that connect ecological well-being with racial, economic, and gender justice.
Time commitment: 2-4 hrs/wk of independent work and interactive virtual communications. Participants are expected to interact online weekly and join live, hour-long virtual group sessions every other week for a total of 30 weeks Sept-Dec. + late Jan - May. If accepted, you will see your schedule before confirming your attendance. Proficiency in English is required for this opportunity, as classes and cohort meetings will be conducted in English. All will be encouraged to stay networked for at least 24 months after completion of the course.
Tuition: $600. A limited amount of tuition support (up to $550) is available. This certificate program strives to draw on the benefits of a diverse group of people coming together to explore Climate Justice issues who offer a spectrum of perspectives and life experiences. Questions about your identity are asked in order to ensure we offer all participants the opportunity to learn from a wide-variety of people. We appreciate any/all information you feel comfortable sharing.
*Be sure not to utilize artificial intelligence (AI) to autocomplete your responses. We want to hear YOUR voice, not someone else's.* For more information visit

Oftentimes, taking this course with others in your local community can ensure sustainability of your long-term engagement with the work and offer spiritual support for your souls!
Please be aware that if you are accepted into this course, we will notify you in mid-July. Please check the email you gave us often so that we can open the spot for someone else if you can no longer commit. If accepted, we will also be requesting that you have a colleague, fellow worshipper, supervisor, fellow local activist +/or friend pledge that they will be a local supportive ally in your efforts to study and engage in this work. Start thinking of who you can ask to be your accountability partner/prayer buddy!
